When saving fails

Common messages, in the order to check them.
Clipboard access was denied
The browser blocked the clipboard. Follow When clipboard access is denied.
Please enter a URL
The clipboard is empty or only whitespace. Open the post on X, copy the link again, then press the button.
Please enter a tweet URL / Please enter a Twitter/X URL / Invalid URL format
The copied text is not a post URL. Check the shape in Supported URLs.
No media found
The URL was accepted, but there is no video, image, or GIF to save. That includes text-only posts, deleted media, and posts you cannot view (private or limited).
Could not connect to the server / Extraction failed
The app did not reach the server. Check the network, wait out a brief outage, or try later if X is rate-limiting. If it keeps failing, try a different public post to isolate the issue.
Downloads never start or stop halfway
After a successful extract, the browser tries to save files in sequence. Check:
- Pop-ups or multiple-file downloads are not blocked
- “Ask before downloading” is not cancelling every file
- You can save one file at a time from the “Download media” links
Download links are valid only for a short time. If you waited after extract, press the button again.
Posts from private accounts
Posts you cannot view cannot be saved. There is no sign-in to reach private content.
