What it can do
- Save video, images, and GIFs from one public post
- Download several media items in a post, one after another
- Accept post URLs on
x.comandtwitter.com - Use the same flow in a phone browser
GIFs are sometimes served as video files. The extension may be MP4, but the content is still animation. Quality follows whatever X delivers.
What it cannot do
- Reach private, followers-only, or otherwise unviewable posts
- Bulk download from a profile URL (not in the current UI)
- Sign in to widen what you can see
- Save deleted posts or posts with no media
- Save media from sites other than X
How it is meant to be used
This is for keeping public content you can already view. Do not redistribute other people’s work without permission. Check the author’s and the platform’s terms as well.
